Frequently Asked Questions
- What do I need to bring?
- Please have your unsigned document and a current government-issued photo ID or U.S. passport ready for each signer. Do not sign the document before the appointment. If a signer has no ID, a credible witness may be an option.
- Will a notary come to me?
- Yes. I serve the Energy Corridor, West Houston and Katy. Travel fees are separate from Texas notarial fees and are quoted at booking.
- Can you help me complete my document or choose a form?
- Preparing documents and selecting forms are outside a notary's role in Texas. Your attorney or the agency requesting the document can assist. I notarize the documents you provide.
- Can you get an apostille for me?
- Apostilles are issued only by the Texas Secretary of State. I notarize your document, submit the request on your behalf and return the apostilled document to you.
- Do you serve legal papers?
- Service of court papers is not currently offered. The court clerk can explain how to arrange service.
- How long will you wait if I'm running late?
- I cannot wait longer than 15 minutes after arrival, or a fee may apply. This policy does not apply to hospital visits.
- Is a deposit required?
- Yes. A deposit of 20% of the total price is required to book.
